Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how BundleBiome (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website and interact with our services.
Who we are
BundleBiome is a brand based in Ontario, Canada, focused on nature-themed reptile décor bundles.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us.
Scope & applicable law
This policy applies to personal information we handle in the course of our commercial activities. As an Ontario business, our private-sector privacy obligations are governed federally by Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Ontario does not currently have a comprehensive private-sector privacy law of its own. We also follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for email and text marketing.
If you are located outside Canada (e.g., EU/UK), local laws may grant additional rights; we aim to handle requests consistently with applicable law.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you provide: e.g., name, email, biome/tank preferences when you request a bundle preview or contact us.
- Automatic site data: limited technical data (IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, timestamps). Optional analytics only run with your consent.
- Communications: content of messages you send us and our responses, to address your requests and maintain records.
Cookies & tracking
We use necessary cookies to run the site and remember your consent. Optional cookies (functional, analytics, marketing) are used only if you consent via our cookie banner.
- Necessary: core site operations and consent storage.
- Functional (optional): preferences and enhanced features.
- Analytics (optional): site usage insights to improve content.
- Marketing (optional): ad personalization/measurement tools.
How we use information
- Provide and operate our website and respond to your requests.
- Send service messages or important updates.
- Analyze site performance and improve offerings (if consented).
- Protect the website, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing & disclosure
We don’t sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers who help us operate the site (e.g., hosting, analytics if enabled) under confidentiality and security commitments, and disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, users, or the public.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Your rights under PIPEDA
Subject to limited exceptions, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to challenge its accuracy and completeness. You may request corrections or withdraw consent for optional processing at any time (this won’t affect prior processing). To exercise your rights, please contact us. We may need to verify your identity.
We follow PIPEDA’s ten fair information principles, including accountability, identifying purposes, consent, limiting collection/use/retention, accuracy, safeguards, openness, individual access, and challenging compliance.
Email & text marketing (CASL)
We obtain consent before sending commercial electronic messages to Canadian recipients. Our messages identify our business and include a working unsubscribe mechanism. You can opt out at any time using the link in our messages or by contacting us.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice.
