Scope & applicable law

This policy applies to personal information we handle in the course of our commercial activities. As an Ontario business, our private-sector privacy obligations are governed federally by Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Ontario does not currently have a comprehensive private-sector privacy law of its own. We also follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for email and text marketing.

If you are located outside Canada (e.g., EU/UK), local laws may grant additional rights; we aim to handle requests consistently with applicable law.

We follow PIPEDA’s ten fair information principles, including accountability, identifying purposes, consent, limiting collection/use/retention, accuracy, safeguards, openness, individual access, and challenging compliance.

Email & text marketing (CASL)

We obtain consent before sending commercial electronic messages to Canadian recipients. Our messages identify our business and include a working unsubscribe mechanism. You can opt out at any time using the link in our messages or by contacting us.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
